COMPANY BRIEF

Core Operation:

Heli Harvest Ltd is a New Zealand registered company that provides specialist aerial heavy-lifting services with a fleet of two large Russian Mil Mi-8MTV-1 (commonly referred to as 'Mi-8') helicopters.  These helicopters have a maximum external lifting capacity of 5.0 tonnes.

We operate throughout New Zealand, Australia and throughout the South Pacific.

The company's managerial and administrative office is in Auckland.

The helicopters are maintained and based at Taupo Airport.

We are a small company with a very dedicated team of employees that pride themselves in safety of operations and quality of service to the customer, no matter what the task or where it is located.  Not only do we have first class flight crews but our engineering and logistical support team are second to none.  It is this level of commitment that enables us to provide seamless service to customers whether they are local, or located many thousands of kilometres from our New Zealand base.

Company Formation History:

The company was formed in the early 1990s to supply helicopter logging services to Timberlands West Coast Ltd - a state owned enterprise.  Due to a change in Government policy under the Clark Labour Government, sustainable selective native logging is no longer permitted by Timberlands.  Despite this, Heli Harvest continues to play a significant role in the sustainable timber harvesting of private forestry blocks around the country.

Over the past decade, our scope of work has expanded and we have forged a position as New Zealand's number one provider of aerial heavy-lifting services.

The Heli Harvest Team:

We require the services of a team of highly skilled helicopter pilots, ground engineers and flight engineers to keep our maintenance and flight operations running smoothly.  Several of our employees were born in Eastern Europe, but are now New Zealand citizens.
